Serena Williams was ousted from the Australian Open by Karolina Pliskova.
Serena was just one point away from a win when she turned her left ankle and dropped the last six games.
Pliskova will face Naomi Osaka in the semi-finals, while Petra Kvitova will take on Danielle Collins in the other semi. On the men’s side, Rafael Nadal downed Frances Tiafoe to advance to the semi-finals.
