Effingham County Storm Reaches Playoffs

The Effingham County Storm semipro football team qualified for the MA8FL playoffs with a 44-20 win Sunday over the Twin City Thunderbirds at Effingham.
The Storm took an early lead and led the contest 25-0 at halftime. Twin City scored two late touchdowns, but the Storm scored the final points of the contest to improve to 4-2 on the season.
Another win this Sunday at Bloomington will assure the Storm of a first round home playoff game.
