North Clay edged the Shamrocks 33-31 in the seventh-grade contest. North Clay held an 18-13 halftime lead but Sacred Heart rallied with an 18-15 second half but couldn't get over the first half deficit.
Borries led the winners with 13 points.
Sacred Heart was led by Compton with nine.
North Clay picked up the eighth-grade victory, 43-15.
North Clay held a 19-9 halftime lead then went on a 23-7 second half run.
North Clay was led by L. Groves with 15 points and Zimdars with 14.
The Shamrocks were led by Wallace and Sparks with six each.

At Newton
Effingham St. Anthony ran out to a 31-7 halftime lead and downed Jasper County, 47-15 in seventh-grade action Tuesday.
Lauritzen scored 12 of the Bullpups 21 points in the second period and added on eight more in the third quarter. He finished with 23. Also in double figures were Griffith and Gonzalez with 10 each.
Jasper County was led by Wolf with five points. Jasper County fell to 1-6 on the season.
In eighth-grade competition, the Bullpups claimed a 48-25 win.
St. Anthony held a 28-10 halftime lead. Schmidt led the winners with 14 [points.
Jasper County was led by Wade Wickham with five. Jasper County dropped to 3-4.
