Myra Jane Ruholl, 60, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church in Lillyville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the church. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Myra was born on March 9, 1964, to Leonard and Jane (Thoele) Ruholl. Myra was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Lillyville. Myra graduated from Armstrong School in Mattoon, IL in May of 1985. Shortly after, she started her employment at Community Support Systems (CSS) in September of 1985. Myra attended Camp New Hope and participated in the Special Olympics. She loved her time working at CSS and seeing all of her friends. She also enjoyed Bluegrass and Country Music. Despite the challenges she faced in her life, Myra was always happy and kind. She had a pure soul.

Myra is survived by her siblings, Marlene (Bill) Hoene of Effingham, Tim Ruholl of Teutopolis, Christy (Dan) Flach of Montrose, Lori (Mark) Runde of Teutopolis, Ellen (Steve) Jansen of Montrose, and Kim (Mike) Bloemer of Effingham; nieces and nephews, Megan Tegeler, Grant, Troy, Eric and Drew Hoene, Lee and Kyle Ruholl, Maria Hanratty, Bethany Ungrund, Lauren Lohman, Morgan Flach, Shelby Hinterscher, Jason Runde, Kristin Nottingham, Nicole McClellan, Jeremy Jansen, Kendra Tegeler, Ross, Kendal, Connor, and Avery Bloemer; 40 great-nieces and great-nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
