Geneva S. O'Rourke (76) of Effingham

Geneva S. O’Rourke, 76, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

The family will host a visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2020 with funeral services to follow at 3:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Brad Shaw at Blue Point Baptist Church, 8014 E. 1600th Avenue, Shumway, IL. Geneva was born to Orville and Louise (Seedorf) O’Rourke of Grayson, KY on May 3, 1944. Geneva was a huge Elvis fan and had a love for old classic movies. She could be seen walking around town running her errands.

Geneva is survived by her son, Todd O’Rourke of Effingham; daughter, Lisa Poston Wagner (James) of Teutopolis; grandchildren, Anna, Michael, Jaelyn, Elizabeth, Joshuwah, and Eva Poston all of Teutopolis; great-grandchildren, Jade, Shawn, and Ryder; and sisters, Janet Register, Patty Jepson, Sonya Paulson, and Brenda Parry all of Albert Lea, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Jeremiah Poston.
