
Alma LeFever (94) of Willow Hill

Alma Francis LeFever, 94, of Willow Hill, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
She was born in Jasper County, IL on November 13, 1926 to William Edgar “Ed” LeFever and Blanche Emily (Leggitt) LeFever. Alma had worked as a school teacher for a short time before becoming the Jasper County Clerk. She served as the Jasper County Clerk for 38 years, retiring in 1986. After retiring from the County clerk’s office she worked at the First National Bank in Oblong for several years. She had also served as an election judge in Jasper County for many years. She was a member of the Willow Hill Township Class of 1944, the Mound Community Church, Business and Professional Women Organization and the PEO Sisterhood Chapter KS Oblong. Alma loved flowers and had many flower beds scattered around her yard. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting and reading. Alma was Martha Stewart before Martha Stewart. She was also a fan of Ronald Reagan. Most of all, Alma enjoyed her time with her friends and family and was a “Giver”.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Harold and Darlene LeFever, sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Mack Henry and an infant sister Sylvia.
A private family Celebration of Alma’s Life will be held. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Mound Cemetery or Mound Community Church and may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O.
