Sally Lou McNeely Phipps, 91, of Greenup, Il, passed away at 7:28 pm on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at her home.
Visitation will be on Monday January 27, 2020 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL from 10:00 to 11:30 am followed by a noon funeral mass at Christ The King Catholic Church in Greenup. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.
She was born on July 22, 1928 in Chicago, Il., the daughter of Jesse Porter and Sarah Berry Porter. On May 8, 1954 she married John McNeely and he preceded her in death on August 24, 1992. She married Jim Phipps on February 10, 1996 and he preceded her in death on December 12, 2006.
Surviving are her sons Michael (Maryjo) McNeely of Philo, Il, Mark (Donez) McNeely of Effingham, Il, John (Carol) McNeely of Effingham, Il and Brian McNeely. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and one grandchild.
