Ina F. Maroon (81) of Effingham, formerly of Altamont and Newton

Ina F. Maroon, age 81, of Effingham, and formerly of Altamont, and Newton, Illinois, passed away at 8:33 AM Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 30 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with Tom Matson officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. In loving memory of Ina, memorials may be made to the family.

Ina was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1938, in Latona, Illinois the daughter of Harry Jefferson and Opal (Lytle) Robards. Ina graduated from Newton Community High School in 1956. She had worked at E.R. Moore Cap and Gown Factory and Essex in Newton as a secretary.

Ina is survived by: Children – Jackie Harris of Effingham, Illinois; Rich (Andrea) Harris of Vandalia, Illinois and Carolyn Harris of Effingham, Illinois; Brothers – Leonard Robards of Mattoon, Illinois; Joe Robards (Fiancé Amy Peterson) of Chillicothe, Illinois and Curtis Robards of Peoria, Illinois; Sister – Anita (Steve) Harris of Clarksville, Tennessee; 5 Grandchildren; and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Cathy Jo Harris and Cecilia “Cissey” Johnson; granddaughters Mindy Weir and Brandie Weir; brothers Bob, Ernie, Herschel, Keith, Wendell and Russell Robards and a sister Mary Robards.
