
Margaret L. "Maggie" McCoy-Schaade (91) of Shelbyville

Margaret L. “Maggie” McCoy-Schaade, 91, of Shelbyville, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Mason Point in Sullivan, IL.
Maggie and Earl D. McCoy were united in marriage on January 31, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 6, 1968. She then married Arthur Schaade on January 12, 1996 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2017. Maggie worked at the IGA grocery store in Shelbyville for over 19 years, was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville and the Order of the Eastern Star of Bethany. She enjoyed fishing and doing crafts.
She is survived by two daughters: Candace (Steve) Monroe of Sullivan and Brenda (Tom) Horsman of Shelbyville; four grandchildren: Eric (Nicole) Monroe of Sullivan, Stephanie (Jeff) Jurgens of Forsyth, Beth (Shawn) Tope of Shelbyville and Andrew (Jamie) McDonald of Shelbyville; 13 great-grandchildren: Hunter, Miles, Hank, Lucas, Taylor, Jhett, Gradey, Gracey, Braydin, Seth, Drue, Drake and Kylee and two great-grandchildren: Kayden and Reyna.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two husbands: Earl McCoy and Arthur Schaade.
Private family services will be held on Thursday, March 21 at Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be in Maggie’s name to the Shelby County Honor Guard or the Shelbyville Food Pantry. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville is assisting the family.
