Mamie L. Gallion, 92, of Ste. Marie died Friday, March 16, 2018 at Helia Healthcare of Olney.

Funeral services for Mamie will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, March 20 at the Crain Funeral Home, Newton with Pastor Nate Hagen officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dundas Cemetery, Dundas, Illinois.

Mamie was born on February 3, 1926 in Blanche, Missouri, the daughter of Robert M. and Verda L. (Morin) McClary. On December 20, 1941, Mamie married Loren A. Gallion. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2018. Mamie worked at the garment factory in Olney and later the dietary department at Richland Memorial Hospital. Together with her husband, Mamie enjoyed traveling and camping. She liked to take long walks to collect the daily mail or to gather wild berries. Mamie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mamie will be loved and remembered by her son Loren (Carolyn) Gallion, Jr. of Noble,  daughter Joyce L. Clark of Willow Hill;  nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and thirty-seven great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Patricia McClary, Jane McClary, and Gloria McClary all of Missouri and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband Loren, siblings James McClary, Lorene Carter, Gene McClary, Leon McClary and Junior McClary, Kenneth McClary, and Ronnie McClary, and son-in-law Ozzie Clark preceded her in death.
