Personnel and Budget Items Addressed by Brownstown Board

Brownstown school board members acted on a series of personnel matters at this week's meeting.
The Board accepted Emily Ledbetter's resignation as elementary special education teacher and Alisha Chaney's resignation as high school one to one aide; accepted a letter of intent to retire from Deb Hunter; Michele Seabaugh's resignation as junior high boys track coach, Tracey Evans' resignation as junior/senior high school PBIS coach and dramatics sponsor, hired Braden Henry as elementary school custodian and district grounds maintenance person for the coming school year, hired Sherri Beckel as high school one to one aide, Caleb Miller as junior high baseball assistant coach, Jessica Sefton as junior high girls basketball head coach, and Danyele Boaz as junior/senior high school PBIS coach, all for the coming school year.
The Board awarded Clemens Insurance as insurance carrier for employee health coverage; approved substitute pay rates, athletic fees and lunch prices, all for the coming school year; approved Brownstown High School as a foreign exchange high school; approved various handbooks; approved course curriculum and materials for a hunter safety course; approved a bus maintenance contract with Ron Zimmer; approved Josh Miller and Zach Gillespie as junior high baseball assistant volunteer coaches; approved an unpaid leave of absence request from Amber Brungard; and approved a scope change with GRP/Wegman Mechanical for the replacement of the elementary school HVAC system.
Brownstown board members also scheduled a public hearing on the budget for the new fiscal year on Monday, September 18.
