
Several Personnel Moves by Unit 40 Board at June Meeting

Several personnel moves were made by the Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education at their monthly June meeting.
The Board hired Angela Byers as a secretary at Central Grade School, Christina Mayes as Little Hearts Early Childhood Center Teacher Assistant, Joy Rubin as LBS1 at Central Grade School, Lindsey Storm for computer and technology work at the junior high school, and Hollie Sarchet as a four-hour bus driver. Tracey Ethridge, Daniel Walker, Ana Macias and Patricia Stevens were hired as paraprofessionals, and Don Brown was hired to do maintenance work.
Several appointments were approved including Jean Cornell as community service coordinator at the high school and these individuals to serve as volunteer workers with the band: Cheyenne Brickner, Dan Brickner, Erin Browne, Stormy Durkin, Brandon McDaniels, Marc Moss, Matt Chesner, Brandon Duncan and Erick Somodi. Other appointments: Jeff Tonn as boys JV basketball coach, Melissa Armstrong as high school co-head girls tennis coach, and Abra Woomer as high school volunteer girls tennis coach.
Resignations were accepted from Elizabeth Wilkinson as junior high cheer coach, Carol Babbs as JV Scholastic Bowl coach, JuLee Heuerman as Little Hearts Early Childhood Center teacher assistant, Cheryl Scanlan as guidance counselor, and Dannette Williamson as high school Prom sponsor.
