Altamont city council members were approached Monday by pickleball supporters.
Sharon Harper and Scott Moeller shared that they would like to utilize the tennis court at Frog Pond Nursery School for pickleball. The court is already being used with players utilizing some paint placed last fall and temporary nets. Harper and Moeller are hopeful that permanent paint and netting could be installed.
The Council will review the idea and how to handle the costs. Another consideration is that the court is already used for tennis and as a basketball court.
Council members also moved forward on South Point Subdivision, the 16-lot residential subdivision under development by the City. Platting of the subdivision was finalized last night, as well as the covenants, conditions and restrictions for a replat of the subdivision.
Still to be determined is the purchase process and the sale price of the lots.
