The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved disaster declarations for the severe weather that occurred in Crawford County and Fulton County on March 31st and April 4th. These disaster declarations will allow residents, condo homeowners, and businesses to apply for low-interest loans for damages not covered by insurance.
SBA staff will be at the Lincoln Trail College – Student Union Room 211 starting at 11:00 a.m. on May 10th at 11220 St Highway 1, Room 211 in Robinson, Illinois, 62454 to help residents with their applications. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) will be open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Both centers close permanently at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 24th.
Four people died from the storms on March 31, and many properties were damaged or destroyed. Governor Pritzker issued disaster proclamations to unlock resources for those most-severely impacted.
