Mason Woman Injured in Sunday Night Crash

A Mason woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night.
Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash happened at 9:12pm on Illinois Route 37, just east of Arthur Street in Mason.
Deputies say 48-year-old Deanna Stevens was traveling southbound when her car ran off the highway, crossing the northbound lane into the south ditch. The car struck the ditch and rolled over five times. Stevens was ejected from the vehicle between the third and fourth rollover.
Stevens was airlifted from the scene by Arch Air to HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Deputies cited Stevens for no valid driver's license, improper lane usage, DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
