The Lightning Special Olympics basketball teams have both qualified for state tournament play.

The boys team won gold, while the girls team won bronze. Both are headed to the state tournament, set for March 10-12 in Bloomington. The regionals were played in Trenton, eight boys and nine girls.

The Lightning fans wanted to let the team members know "we are proud of you!"
