Altamont City Council members voted to amend a project to make sanitary sewer improvements in the northwest section of the city.

The Council had awarded a contract, then didn't receive anticipated grant funds. The Council then rescinded that action, and awarded an amount of work that could be afforded. The new contract totals $603,979.70.

Altamont council members approved the purchase of a transformer for $24,665 to serve ADM in Altamont. Altamont operates its own utility company so is providing the transformer. The Council also purchased a Ford police unit for $36,855. The delays encountered in obtaining a used vehicle led the Council to purchase a new vehicle.

The Council also approved a payment of $12,000 in TIF dollars to the Grobengieser-Fischer American Legion Post #512 for roof work on the legion building.
