Kinmundy Teenager Charged w/Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault

A Kinmundy resident has been charged with a Class X felony count of predatory criminal sexual assault.

18-year-old Riley L. Smith, Jr. is alleged to have assaulted a girl who was under 13 years of age. The incident is alleged to have occurred in a rural part of Fayette County near Farina.

Bond for Smith was set at $50,000. He is due in court for a pre-trial hearing on July 19.
