Stewardson-Strasburg school board members Wednesday held discussion regarding building a replacement bus barn.
The Board also got updates on a sewer project providing service from the school complex north into Strasburg, on a concrete drive at the school, and on a new playground.
Board members approved an amended budget for the just-ended school year; and agreed to seek pricing on a district mower for athletic fields and groundskeeping purposes.
Stew-Stras board members approved hiring Bev Wascher as district treasurer, effective July 1. Wages for non-certified employees were approved, Penny Hill's resignation as Loyalty Club sponsor was accepted, Cecelia Hicks was hired as a fulltime Spanish teacher for the coming school year, and Kenny Schwengel, who has been serving as interim superintendent, was hired as superintendent consultant while new superintendent Justin Deters gets acclimated to the position.
