Infrastructure projects topped the agenda at Wednesday's Teutopolis Village Board meeting.
The Board discussed seeking up to $1.8 million in grant funds to finance a village-wide sidewalk construction project. The work is projected to include Southern Row, Columbus Street, down Race Street, and along Wooden Shoe Road. Nothing has been finalized; this was the beginning of seeking the grant funds.
Board members passed an ordinance granting utility easements to Ameren Illinois on the undeveloped lots in Prairie View Estates Subdivision.
The Board also passed a resolution amending the funding for the IDOT shoulder project along Main Street. Under the long-discussed project, IDOT will pay for surfacing the street portion of Main, while the Village will pay for the shoulder work. Construction work on the project is now underway west of the village to near Salt Creek.
