Effingham Unit 40 school board members took action Tuesday evening on a couple of personnel matters.

The Board accepted the resignation of Mandee Hirtzel as junior high cheerleading coach, and approved Ryan Engel as a volunteer high school softball coach.

Board members also expelled a student through the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
