The Effingham County 911 Board Tuesday re-elected its officers for 2022.

Back for another year are Chairman Dave Campbell, Vice-Chairman Paul Kuhns, and Secretary-Treasurer Jake Buhnerkempe.

Board members learned that 911 has close to $1.4 million on hand, and approved just under $52,000 in expenditures for the past month.

System Administrator Tina Daniels reported on findings from a state meeting she recently attended. The state administrator for 911 reported that some communications vendors will be ending 3G service in 2022, so some older phones may cease to operate. Committee member David Budde said he understood that phone vendors would be notifying customers who could be affected by the change.
