Two counts of murder and a count of residential burglary have been filed in Clay County Circuit Court against two individuals in the death of Edgewood resident Roger Courson.

30-year-old Walter West of Edgewood and 27-year-old Christopher Gallatin of Centralia have been charged in the death of the 80-year-old Courson, whose body was found in his home near Edgewood by a family member the morning of Sunday, September 26.

During a court appearance Monday morning, probable cause was found to hold West and Gallatin over for trial. Judge Kevin Parker set bond for each defendant at $2.5 million.
