The Stewardson-Strasburg school board Monday has agreed to follow the Governor's Executive Order regarding a Return to School Plan.
The Board voted on whether to follow the initial Return to School Plan, where masks were recommended, but that motion failed 4-3.
Stew-Stras Superintendent Kenneth Schwengel said the Board may seek legal options to address the mask mandate.
Also Monday, the Board again tabled action on a wastewater project with the Village of Strasburg due to conflicting meeting dates. A tentative fiscal year budget was placed on file for public inspection. A budget hearing will take place at the Board's September 15 meeting.
Stew-Stras board members also hired Allyson Paden as grade school teacher aide, and accepted the resignation of Samantha Graham as a grade school aide.
