COVID Death Reported in County

The Effingham County Health Department reported a death in the county this week due to COVID-19.
The death was that of a woman in her 70s, bringing the number of confirmed COVID-related deaths in the county to 75.
There were 70 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in the county in the past week.
The Health Department is hosting a Johnson and Johnson COVID vaccine clinic on Tuesday morning. The clinic will run from 9:30am to noon, and is open to anyone 18 and older.
