Law Enforcement Torch Run Tomorrow

The Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8:00am. The route will start at the Old Courthouse in Effingham at 100 E. Jefferson, travel north onto U.S. Route 45, and end at the McDonald’s in Mattoon.
The public is encouraged to bring a positive attitude, loud cheers for the athletes, water, snacks, and running shoes.
The Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run has selected “Guardians of the Flame” as the theme for 2021 andwill be using #ILTorchRun21 on social media to inspire officers and departments to spread the word about how the Torch Run transforms the lives of Special Olympics athletes in Illinois.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the single largest year-round fundraising movement benefiting Special Olympics Illinois. The Torch Run has two goals, to raise money and to gain awareness for the athletes who participate in Special Olympics Illinois.
LETR t-shirts will be available for purchase at the Old Courthouse for $15.00. Monetary donations are also accepted and appreciated in support of Special Olympics Illinois.
