The Effingham City Zoning Board of Appeals Thursday approved a front yard setback variance for properties at 305 and 307 East Washington Avenue.
The setbacks will provide room to construct a 7,500 square foot building on the properties. Bushue Human Resources requested the variance for a prospective business seeking to develop on the site.
The Zoning Board of Appeals was also to conduct a public hearing on a request by Crackel Barrel Old Country Store. Cracker Barrel would like a variance to permit a pylon sign size at their location on Avenue of Mid America, but the store didn't submit their petition for the variance. The matter could be on the agenda for the Board's regular June meeting.
