Human Remains Found in Fayette County

Human remains were found in Fayette County Wednesday.

Authorities say the skeletal remains were those of one individual. The remains were found in a rural area between St. Elmo and Brownstown.

Illinois State Police is leading the investigation. A State Police spokesperson said more information should be available later today.
