North Clay school board members acted on a number of personnel matters at this month's meeting.

The Board authorized Superintendent Travis Wyatt to post for the position of Dean of Students and Athletic Director. Roy Taylor is stepping down, saying he hopes someone who works for the district will seek the job. Taylor also has a full-time job outside his work for the school district.

The Board accepted the resignation of Ashli Voelker as head junior high and high school volleyball coach, and authorized the administration to hire a replacement. They also accepted resignations from Kimberly Briggs as special education coordinator, from Laith Harrington as custodian, and from Rase Collins as high school Biology teacher. The Board also voted to rehire all non-certified staff and all recommended coaching staff for the coming school year.

North Clay board members also tabled a Back to School plan discussion until additional information is available, approved student handbooks for the coming school year, and agreed to purchase three gas buses for the coming school year. The Board approved summer school staff members, and approved crack filling and sealing of blacktop areas.

Also approved was an agreement between the district and Illinois Eastern Community Colleges for dual credit classes, and reviewed a revised budget for the balance of the school year.
