Brownstown Board Works on Budget

Brownstown school board members worked on an amended budget for the current school year, and on the spending blueprint for the coming year.

A public hearing on the amended budget for this year is set for Monday, May 28. The Board also directed Superintendent Mike Shackelford to start work on the budget for the next school year.

The Board set registration fees: Elementary $95.00...Junior High and High School $120.00...and Driver's Education $50.00.

Board members hired Robin Miller as K-12 District art teacher and Sandra Albright as a Pre-K Aide, and hired Jonah Poe as summer janitorial help. The Board also approved the purchase of a 2019 model school bus.
