Changes are coming on the makeup of the Effingham County 911 Board.

The departure of Mike DePoister from the Board due to personal and business reasons was announced earlier.

This week, Chairman Juile Stephens and Treasurer Wayne Rubach announced that they will be departing the Board when their current terms end. Both said there are no problems; they just feel they have served a suitable amount of time on the Board.

Also at this week's meeting, System Administrator Tina Daniels reported that there were 8,721,796 9-1-1 calls placed in Illinois during 2020. Daniels also reported that the State is still working on training for telecommunicators.

The 911 board also approved the release of all closed session minutes of the Board since 1995; apparently, the minutes had never been reviewed before.
