A Beecher City woman was injured Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash happened just after 9am on Illinois Route 33, a half-mile west of 800th Street in Banner Township.
Effingham County sheriff's deputies report a vehicle driven by 86-year-old Marilyn Coffman of Beecher City was westbound on the highway when Coffman lost control of the vehicle. The unit left the roadway to the left, traveled down an embankment and struck a concrete culvert.
Coffman was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No citations were issued.
