An Altamont man was injured in a crash in the county over the weekend.
23-year-old Zachary Beccue was traveling west on Moccasin Road, west of Lake Sara, when his car ran off the right side of the roadway. The car came back onto the roadway and then off to the left. The vehicle struck the ditch and then overturned two or three times before coming to rest on its passenger side. Beccue was ejected from the vehicle when it began to overturn, coming to rest several feet from the unit.
Beccue was airlifted from the scene to Carle Hospital in Urbana for treatment. He was cited for improper lane usage. The crash remains under investigation.
Sheriff's deputies report the crash occurred at 6:40pm Saturday.
