Teutopolis Schedules Trick or Treat

In these pandemic days, it's good to hear of traditions that won't change.
One of those is Trick or Treat in Teutopolis.
The Teutopolis Village Board Wednesday approved Trick or Treat this year for Friday night, October 30 from 6:30 to 8pm. The annual Lions Club Halloween Parade will be held just ahead of the Trick or Treat hours.
The Board also passed the village tax levy ordinance for the new fiscal year, and abated the levy by the amount of the bill for the water line that carries water to Teutopolis from Newton. Other revenues will pay for that expense. The total levy will increase by just less than 5% over the previous year's tax extensions.
Board members accepted the return of Lot 61 in Prairie View Subdivision, after allowing the purchaser to change his mind. There was also discussion of Community Support Systems' request for Tax Increment Financing assistance, but no decision.
