The Bulldogs tallied three runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out a 7-6 victory over Breese Mater Dei in the opener.
St. Anthony held a 3-0 lead through four innings and led 4-2 in the fifth. But Mater Dei tied in the top of the sixth and moved into a 6-4 lead in the top of the seventh. But the Bulldogs rallied for the victory.
Hailey Niebrugge had a single, home run and three RBI for the winners while Addie Wernsing and Abbie Hatton added a single, double and an RBI each. Ady Rios finshed with three singles and Maddie Kibler had a single and two RBI.
Sydney Kibler went the distance, allowing six runs on 10 hits, one walk and striking out six.
In the second contest, the Bulldogs finished with 16 hits and took a 15-7 victory.
St. Anthony trailed again, this time by a 3-2 count after the first inning. But the Bulldogs came back with a four-run third to move into a 6-5 lead then added on a run in the fourth. Mater Dei came back with a run in the top of the fifth to pull within 7-6 but the Bulldogs retaliated with a run in the bottom of the fifth and seven in the sixth to put the game away.
Hatton had two singles, a double, home run and two RBI while Rios added two doubles and two RBI, S. Kibler a single, double and three RBI, Julia Schultz a double, home run and two RBI, Laney Coffin a home run and two RBI, Maddie Kibler a single, double and an RBI and Hailey Niebrugge two singles.
Wernsing pitched the win, going four innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, two walks and striking out six.

Effingham held Mahomet-Seymour scoreless in both games of an Apollo Conference doubleheader Saturday.
The Hearts won the opener 15-0 in four innings. Natalie Armstrong threw a one-hitter with no walks and five strikeouts.
Meanwhile, the Hearts had 15 hits led by Jerzi Bierman with a single, two doubles and five RBI, Armstrong with a single, two doubles and two RBI, Raegan Boone with three singles, Saige Althoff with two singles and an RBI and Madi Kirk with a single and three RBI.

Altamont competed in the South Central Tournament and picked up two victories and suffered one loss Saturday.
The Indians trounced Grayville, 25-5 in four innings. Altamont ripped out to a 10-0 opening inning lead and never looked back.
Altamont had 12 hits led by Peyton Osteen with three singles and two RBI, Sophia Pearcy with two singles and two RBI, Laila Hankins and Cecelia Pearcy with a single and three RBI each, Brianna Grunloh and Ella Nelson with a single and two RBI each and Kennedi Schultz and Madison Tonn had a single and an RBI each.
Altamont edged Robinson 1-0, scoring the lone run in the sixth inning.
The Indians had three hits led by Pearcy and Hankins with a double each and Grace Lemke with a single.
Lemke went the seven innings for the win, striking out 17. She allowed only one hit and gave up six walks.
Altamont then fell to Lawrenceville by a 6-5 count despite garnering seven more hits.
This game went nine innings before Lawrenceville pulled out the victory with a four-run inning. The two teams scored a single run in the fourth and both scored a single run in the eighth.
Lemke hit a single, two home runs and had four RBI while Sophia Pearcy had three singles.
Lemke suffered the tough-luck loss going 8.1 innings on the mound, allowing four runs on two hits, two walks and striking out 19.

Dieterich blanked Sullivan by a 5-0 count Saturday.
The Movin' Maroons struck early with a 1-0 opening inning lead then had two-run innings in the third and fifth.
Dieterich finished with five hits led by Lucie Jansen with a single, double and two RBI and Ella Kreke and Marli Michl with a triple each.
M. Michl went the distance on the mound, allowing one hit while striking out eight and giving up three walks.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City fell to host Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran, 15-5 in six innings Saturday.
CORL banged out 13 hits in the game while CHBC had three errors and gave up eight walks.
CHBC finished with seven hits led by Ryleigh Sarver with a single and double, Birgen Schlanser with two singles and an RBI, Macee Rodman with a double and an RBI and Ruby Stuckemeyer with a single and two RBI.

Newton claimed two victories at is own Junior Varsity Tournament Saturday.
Newton won over Effingham St. Anthony, 15-4 in five innings.
The Eagles finished with 17 hits led by MacKenzie Holder with a single, two triples and three RBI, Karly Deckard with two singles, a double and an RBI, Allie Hermann with a double, triple and two RBI, Audrie Reich with a single, double and three RBI, Kahlyn McGrath with three singles and Jailynn Hall with two singles and two RBI.
St. Anthony was led by Lily Ganaway and Ella Johnson with a double each.
Newton then blanked Robinson 10-0.
Deckard picked up the pitching win, going two innings allowing one hit and striking out four. Averie Mulvey came in to throw the final three innings, allowing no hits, no walks and striking out four.
Hydi Bierman had two singles, a double and four RBI while Holder had two singles and two RBI, Hermann two singles and Reich and Deckard with a double and two RBI each.
