Bryce E. Carlen (35) of Greenup

Bryce E. Carlen, 35, of Greenup, IL passed away at 9:40 pm Friday, August 28, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday September 2, 2020 at Harmony Cemetery rural Greenup, IL. A drive-by visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL.

Bryce was born on March 1, 1985 in Effingham, IL to Ronald Dean Jr. & Trudy (Hutson) Carlen. Bryce was a 2003 graduate of Cumberland Highschool and a 2005 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. He has been working at Rush Truck Sales in Effingham for more than 6 years.

Bryce is survived by the two most important girls in his life; daughters Makenzi Jo Carlen and Sophia Grace Carlen; also surviving is his parents Ronald Dean (Linda) Carlen and Trudy (Dan) Green; grandparents Ron and Elaine Carlen; siblings Chris (Tausha) Green, Jarod (Danielle) Carlen, Bryan (Rachel) Green, Danielle (Jerry) McClain, Crystal (Neal) Lamb, Kurt Shupe and Sophia Shupe; a special family friend Javetta Kemper; and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.

Bryce was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Dean “RD” Carlen III and grandparents Cloyce and Ruby Hutson.
