Virginia "Ginny" Nell Spellman (85) of Findlay

Virginia “Ginny” Nell Spellman, 85, of Findlay, IL passed away at 4:26 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Heritage Health in Mt. Zion, IL with her loved ones by her side.

Ginny was born on November 26, 1933, to Edna and Ofer Franks. She was married to James Michael Spellman and was the mother of eight children.

She is survived by her sons: Dan (Carol) Spellman, Bob (Chris) Spellman, Tim (Bernice) Spellman and Rick Spellman; daughters: Pam (Bob) Glinke and Patti (Jody) Valerio; daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Spellman; 17 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Sara Geckles; brother, Jerry (Janice) Franks; sister-in-law, Shirley Franks and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Spellman; son David Spellman; daughter, Debbie Spellman and brother, Joe Franks.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 at Findlay Cemetery in rural Findlay, IL with Reverend Rena Whitcher officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ginny’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
