Four People Injured in Saturday Crash

Four people were injured in a crash near the Effingham/Clay county line Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 4pm on US Route 45 at 100th Avenue. The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported that a delivery truck driven by 51-year-old Justin C. Lamb of Shelbyville turned into the path of a SUV driven by 33-year-old Chelsea Wakefield of Effingham. 

Wakefield was injured, as were three of her passengers, 33-year-old Travis Wakefield of Effingham, 14-year-old Madyson Wakefield of Effingham and 13-year-old Izzaiah Poe of Effingham.

Lamb was cited for failure to yield.
