Mason Resident Injured in Sunday Morning Crash

A Mason resident was injured in an early Sunday morning crash.

The call came at 2:20am. Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash occurred on 1350th Street at the intersection with 550th Avenue, southeast of Watson. 

Deputies report a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Jesse S. Storm was traveling eastbound on 550th Avenue when Storm lost control of the vehicle while turning onto 1350th Street, causing the vehicle to overturn in the ditch.

Storm was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment. 

Storm was cited for DUI, driving while his license is revoked, obstructing a peace officer, an expired registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and driving while his license is revoked without a breath alcohol ignition interlock device.
