One person was killed and another was injured in a car/motorcycle crash in Clark County Friday afternoon.
Illinois State Police say the crash occurred just after 5pm on US Route 40 at Baystown Road. A motorcycle operated by 55-year-old Joseph Roseberry of Terre Haute was westbound, followed by a car driven by 25-year-old Austin Lowry of Martinsville. Roseberry slowed to turn off the highway and his cycle was struck from behind by Lowry's vehicle.
A passenger on the motorcycle, 44-year-old Tosha Davis of Marshall, was ejected and was fatally injured. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Roseberry was taken to an area hospital for treatment of what were termed life threatening injuries. Lowry refused medical treatment.
State police cited Lowry for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
