Teutopolis village board members Wednesday discussed a grant-funded sidewalk improvement project.
The Board wants to finalize the project map with thoughts of adding sidewalk on the west end of town.
Board members voted to proceed with the purchase of a vac truck, and agreed to spend up to $140,000 for the vehicle.
The Board approved payments to Farmweld from Tax Increment Financing district funds; $7,963.10 from TIF 1 and $20,777.44 from TIF 3. The action by the Board followed a meeting of the village's TIF Committee. There was discussion at the committee meeting of how to repay the Village for what the Village has invested for the TIF districts.
Meanwhile, the Village Board discussed the appropriations for the coming fiscal year, with a vote on whether to pass the measure at their July 20 meeting. Board members also discussed whether to renew health insurance coverage, but decided their deadline isn't until October so plan to discuss the issue further.
