The Effingham Unit 40 Board of Education took action on several personnel matters at a special meeting Tuesday night.
The Board hired Teresa Klingler as the district bookkeeper, succeeding the retiring Ellen Broom.
Board members also voted to transfer Marlene Ruholl to a six-hour food service person at the junior high school. Two appointments were approved; Stephanie Mitchell to the junior high after school program and Shayna Phillips as the high school head girls track coach.
Leaves were granted Lisa Beck, Jessica Wohlschlaeger, Tina Verdeyen and Lisa Lauritzen.
Resignations were accepted from Lily Fulk as a custodian, and from Katelyn Frederick as a paraprofessional.
The Board also accepted the retirement of Cindy Matteson as a member of the food service personnel.
