Bond was set for $2.5 million Friday for Jamie Charlton of Salem in the death of Roger Courson.
The 39-year-old Charlton is charged along with Walter West of Edgewood and Christopher Gallatin of Centralia for roles in the death of the 80-year-old Courson, who was found by a family member dead in his home near Edgewood on September 26.
Two counts of murder were filed against Charlton by Clay County State's Attorney Andrew Koester, along with single counts of home invasion and residential burglary. Charlton was taken into custody on Wednesday; West and Gallatin were taken into custody the previous week.
Judge Kevin Parker ordered Charlton to next appear in court on October 13, the same day that Gallatin is next due in court. West is next due in court on October 18.
Bond for each defendant is set at $2.5 million.
