Work Planned Wednesday on City Parking Lot 5

The City of Effingham will be removing and replacing pavement on Public Parking Lot 5, on the east side of 4th Street between Jefferson Avenue and Section Avenue and the alley betweeen 4th Street and 3rd Street.

The work is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, August 18. If delayed, the start date will be Wednesday, August 25.

The work will be done in phases such that half of the parking will be available while construction is underway.

City officials say every effort will be made to complete the project in a timely manner.
