1,700 Confirmed and Probable COVID Cases in State Reported Thursday

The Illinois Department of Public Health Thursday reported 1,700 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease in the state, incuding 55 additional COVID-related deaths.

Those deaths included a male in his 80s in Fayette County.

As of Wednesday night, 1,118 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 231 patients were in the ICU and 102 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
